For 7 years now, PIMPBOT has been blaring infectious tunes out of Honolulu's nightlife capital: Waikiki. PIMPBOT's music caters to the audiences of Hawaii's booming tourist industry as well as its thriving underground music scene. In a world of cover bands, the band has always stayed true to their original material. Admit One carries humorous stories from everyday life - from having breakfast after a one night stand (the 2008 Hawaii Music Award-nominated “Thanks For The Eggs”) to driving with an empty gas tank (“Driving On E”).
The members of PIMPBOT are homegrown but well traveled, having toured various parts of the U.S. Mainland several times and expanding their fan base. Admit One blends the band’s acquired influences of reggae, dance rock, hard-core and rocksteady into their signature brand of ska/punk.

There is something significant taking place in local music, something just beneath the surface, and beyond the laid back sounds of Jawaiian and reggae staples. Rock and Roll in Hawaii is still alive and well. With a handful of national breakthrough acts in recent years, there are local musicians who are excited to welcome a new generation of Hawaiian rockers. Amongst this group stands three young men from Oahu's Kailua town; a band that goes by the name Büsekrüs (pronounced
"Booz-ee-cruise").
Imagine a hybrid mix of Alternative, Pop-Rock and Reggae and you might start to get a clearer picture. On the Rocks feature twelve originals, showcasing the very best of what Busekrus has to offer. Their catchy, tight and smart songs have been described as "radio ready".

In
Hawaiian, the word akamai means "witty,"
"clever," or "intelligent." The music of
Akamai Brain Collective brings together the wisdom and musical
know-how of three Hawaii locals raised in the islands, but
schooled at two of the world's finest music schools: New England
Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, located in Boston,
Massachusetts.
Fusing elements
of jazz, blues, exotica, latin, classical and pop, Abe Lagrimas,
Jr., Randy Wong and Eric Lagrimas create a fresh style of music
they call "progressive island jams". Prior to the
release of their CD, Akamai Brain Collective's teaser single
"Bananas & Rice" created a buzz-worthy stir on the
Internet: airplay on numerous radio stations around the
world and reaching #1 on Soundclick.com's World Music
Charts. More importantly, the CD showcases the jaw-dropping
ukulele skills of Abe Jr. who picked up the instrument for the
first time in April 2003. For more info visit Akamai
